Day +692: I have to admit it’s getting better, a little better all the time…

10/22/12: Good morning! I finally noticed some improvement yesterday, mainly that I was able to wait an extra hour in between pain meds plus I was able to consume a larger quantity of my liquid diet.

Michael put the finishing touches on my Halloween Mausoleum setup, and it looks great! The photo really doesn’t do it justice without the associated lights, sounds, and moving parts. My grandnephew came over to watch Prometheus (the prequel to the Alien movies) with me last night – all in all a good day.

I slept well and required no pain meds for more than 11 hours – I still need them to be able to eat and drink more than a sip though…a step at a time.

  1. Getting Better, by the Beatles. I did have to look up the actual title of the song, but I know the song and sing along all the time. Glad things are slowly getting better.

  2. Karen, It is a good thing that you are going longer periods without pain meds! I hope you have a quick recovery and can put all of the medical issues behind you. It’s nice to have a good husband through all of this too! Hugs, Lori

    Sorry it didn’t work out for us to visit this time. We’ll have to try again next time.

    Marsala Bistro was a pretty good Indian restaurant just south of Harrisburg.

  4. Good Evening Karen;
    The display looks great. Good job Michael.
    Glad to here that things are looking up. Maybe slow but at least going upward, that is good.
    I finally closed in the garage door downstairs.
    Cadbury and Sarina have 2 nice large windows to look out. I have wanted to do this for many yrs. now so it is done and a great job at that.
    Take care and praying that tomorrow will be even better.
    Rest well tonight.
    Hugs
