They’re GR-R-Reat………..

The doctors and nurses and those who’ve made this journey before me all keep telling me how important it is to keep moving. Little did I know how literal their words. Ha, did I say lazy, boring day? Not half an hour after this morning’s post, my day nurse, Fran, announces they’ve decided to move me to a different room. The bad news is that I just put the final touches on havng everything perfectlly arranged as of last night. The good news is that the new plum room is larger than the old blue. After everything was moved, I took a nap until Joan arrived to help me get all organized again. I’ll post some new photos, although they aren’t much different than the old, including the outside view.

What does any of this have to do with the title of this post? Absolutely nothing. I had my first food in a few days that wasn’t toast or grits – Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes. After that I was sufficiently emboldened to try one of my dark chocolate Lindor Truffles. I’m happy to report that for today, at least, chocolate still tastes GR-R-Reat!

p.s. My new room is #11.

  1. So glad you have found chocolate to be a food of healing!!
I am getting over the stomach flu (not that I am in any means comparing it to what you are enduring) and one of my first foods after 36 hours was an oreo truffle. Chocolate conquers all!!!
    Love you.

  2. So good to hear you are doing so well. Keep it up! I do think about you often. Let’s hope you can continue to enjoy chocolate, especially dark chocolate.

  3. MMMMMMMM chocolate, that sounds good.
Hoping you like your new room and I am sure you and Joan will have it back in shape very soon.
It sounds like things are going well for you, just hoping it keeps it up.
At least you in where it is dry and warm, not so much outside. But it is called Winter. But hey Spring is coming.
Take care and May God Bless

  4. It is GR-R-REAT that you are able to eat chocolate. So I guess the German wasn’t allergic. Are you trying to learn German while you are there? Seeing you have German blood, I thought it might come naturally to you. And you would enjoy the next trip to Germany better with being fluent in German. hehehe

I like the purple room better. It is a very pretty shade of purple. Enjoy it!
    Love you.
    Cathy 🙂

  5. You were always very good at decorating. The pictures make it look like it’s got just enough touches of home and the best ones too (x-box and a comfy chair!) You should have asked for cheerios instead!

  6. Next time request Wheaties and then challenge the SA to a video game! So glad to hear you’re up and around. Chocolate makes all things better.

I look forward to reading about your daily progress and your royal adventures in the purple suite!

    Hugs,
    Lynn
